linosal, I know this is old but, how much do you know about wii homebrew stuff?
I just tried to install it on mine the other day, and ran into some trouble half way through.
I eventually figured it out but was then forced to reformat the Wii and then update to 4.0
Now... I can't play any Wii games. The only one that works is mario kart. When i press 'start' on the rest of them it just goes to a black screen and the wiimote is nonresponsive.
any ideas? lol
gamecube games appear to be working, btw

dm, what happens to your wii, sounds exactly like what happens, when you try to play a game cube game that doesnt work with the Wii, for example some platinum edition GC games.
What the error is tho i couldnt say.

SX, if I send in my Wii for repair, what do you think the chances are of Nintendo NOT noticing that I attempted to install homebrew.
I mean I reformatted... do you think any of it could still be left?

i dunno, maybe, i mean, you can repair formated hard drives, but the wii is like a massive mem stick if you think about it, data is written to a microchip, not sure if you can recover data thats wiped from a microchip, maybe you can.
If you sent it in, they would probably know you attempted something which caused it to mess up, but if you paid the right price for them to fix it, im sure they wont care, they may just need to Flash the wii again.
