I'm not sure whether 1000 watts is a lot more than enough or nowadays it's a reasonable amount.

you don't even need that much and honestly just cause you say "gaming computer" doesn't mean it uses more power
my machine is better then yours on every item/spec and it would run fine on a 450

this isn't "tooltime" where you grunt and scream "more power"

what tng is trying to say is, the more power you have but dont need, is just a waste.

example, if i needed one bullet to kill myself, i wouldnt put 2 in the barrell, because the 2nd wouldnt get used.

Same principle here.

depends on the fan and honestly,,, if your computer needs 8 fans you need a new computer
that's too much over kill and what's the point in making a "gaming machine" if you have so many fans making so much noice you can't hear shit?
the mother board will have slots for small 2 and 3 pin fans. Anything else will have a male and female end that would hook up to a power cord like any ide hard drive or cd/dvd would.

Yeah, for exmaple my thermaltake gaming case, has 10 fans.

It connects by a wire which has multiple sockets coming off it, with male and female ends.

The fans connect in one side, the other connects to another wire which inturn has male/female connectors and so on.

so think of it like this, one massive cable, coming from the motherboard, connecting all your fans, and other stuff that needs power, running off them.

>--|----|----|----|----| silly example :P
